About Us

Hillside Caravan Park is an award winning 9 acre park situated outside the village of Knayton, near Thirsk and Northallerton, North Yorkshire. Our family run site offers luxury facilities combined with stunning views of the surrounding countryside in a quiet and peaceful setting. We have excellent access to the North York Moor National Park, the East Yorkshire coast, many old market towns and the city of York, all from our idyllic location in the heart of Herriot country. The park caters for touring caravans & motorhomes, offers 'Glamping' in our luxury camping pods and we also have a cosy holiday cottage. Children & dogs are most welcome!

Really pleased to have found this site to store and pitch our caravan. Everything is so easy and the site is lovely. Well maintained, modern shower block within a hub which includes a pot wash room, ironing etc. the location is great and the views are lovely.

Good value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities clean and warm. Local produce stocked in shop. Private dog walks were great with choices of different fields to walk around in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. Easily accessible from A1/A19 close to the North Yorkshire towns of Thirsk & York. James Herriot museum well worth a visit.
